Can my loft be converted?
Most lofts can be converted, although in some cases it’s not practical. The main concern is the head height of your existing property. Ideally you will need a minimum of 2.2m head height in your existing loft space, although there are other options, including raising the roof if you don’t. In most cases you will not have to submit planning permission for a loft conversion, provided the conversion falls within certain limits and considerations.
